Mason Jars and Glitter

I love mason jars and I love gold. Why not put them together?!

All you need Mod Podge and glitter. Look up how to make them. A little bit of Mod Podge goes a long way!

I like big....MUGS and I cannot lie

Money is always so tight during the holiday season. I wanted to come up with a way to give my friends and family a great gift without making me broke! Here are the mugs I made for my wonderful co-workers.

I used porcelain markers and followed the directions for DIY mug decorating. Even with baking the writing does stay on very well. I would not recommend washing it. It's better as a decorative piece. Have fun!

Halloween Snack!

Pumpkin Rice Crispy Treat!

Make a batch of rice crispies with orange food dye. The stems are tootsie rolls with green icing for the leaves.

Classroom Decor

Back to School 2015!

 My rainbows and clouds theme!
Everything from flag pennants to hot air balloons.

UP, UP, AND AWAY bulletin board!

My 2013-2014 Classroom

My biggest weakness....keeping my area clean and organized. I'm thrown so so so many papers. Learning more ways to keep organized each day!

Went for a jungle theme but not too crazy.

One of my new additions to the classroom. I have a Word Work area where students can find creative ways to practice their Words Their Way words. They can also practice their Word Wall words. There are stamps, banana grams, keyboards, etc.

I decided to have some fun with my job chart this year. It's a treasure map! I like everyone in the class having a job. My kids loved it!

My 2012-2013 Classroom

It's always overwhelming going into an empty classroom!

And After! I decided to use bright colors!

Class Library..always my favorite part of the room.

Superbowl Edition

Superbowl Sunday is always bittersweet for me. It's the last day of watching football. What will I do with my Sundays now??? But this year is special because the Broncos are in the Superbowl!

My students love making these football buddies to show who they want to win the Superbowl. I purchased it from A Cupcake for a Teacher through Teachers Pay Teachers.

I also make a football cake for the Superbowl! Here is last year's cake. The cake mold from Michael's.
Piping the decorations was the most fun!

EDIT****

My newest football cake! I heart Peyton Manning :)

DIY Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day ideas for the different people in your life.

Made this for my boyfriend V-day 2012. Tried to make it "manly" and but still thoughtful.
You're ALE mine, Chocolate Cigars, and Chocolate golf balls haha. Bought those at Target!

Almost all guys have a huge sweet tooth.

Giant heart cookie!

The parents in my class made me a candy-gram card. This was for teacher appreciation day.

A Man Bouquet! Mini liquor bottles, chocolate, etc.
This was a lot of fun to make. I used those white pop sticks from Michael's (the kind used for making cake pops and molded chocolate pops). Then used a green floral foam to hold everything together. And to top it off, I used a beer mug as the vase. How much more manly can it get! :)

Made this for my students using ideas from Pinterest.
Free download for the glow stick heart from the The Teacher Wife.
I made the you are "a-maze-ing" card and put a heart maze on it. The maze and glow sticks were bought at the dollar store.

Adventures with DIY Costumes!

This is a compilation of some of the Halloween costumes I've made in the past few years. Enjoy!

Mario Kart
Aren't group costumes the best??

The Magic School Bus
A great group costume idea..especially for teachers! We made the bus with cardboard boxes and construction paper. The wheels are black paper plates.

I found a green shirt and red hat from Michaels. Then used puff paint to make the letter R and white stripes. I'm so OCD that I made a template for the R using Paint on the computer.

The Incredibles!
Another great group costume. This is with my 2nd Grade team. Halloween 2012.

Wonder Woman!
I made all the pieces for my Wonder Woman costume last year. Made a DIY no sew tutu and puff painted the red T-shirt. I also made the wrist cuffs and head piece with a gold glittery foam.

Wizard of Oz!

Made my Dorthy costume. Saw a tutorial on how to make a no sew Dorthy dress. I was also being super cheap by not buying red glitter shoes so I made that too using an old pair of shoes.

My birthday is on Halloween! Who is lucky enough to wear a tutu on their birthday?!
